Mean Beanz Espresso – Blamey St.
(Closest to the apartments – go out the front gate and you will see it to your right across the road) – for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Mostly sandwiches and drinks. Inside and outside seating.
Coco Cozy Café – Musk Ave.
Has a large menu and indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a bit like Cafe 63 without being a chain. I find it a bit pricey, but worth a look as their range is so large. Inside and outside seating.
The Boys House of Coffee – Musk Ave.
(second closest to the apartments – on the corner of Blamey Street and Musk Ave) – for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Subway – Musk Ave. In the Village Shopping Centre.
The Menagerie Cafe and Bar – Carraway Street.
This place has a lovely atmosphere. Great location for a quiet early evening drink. They are not usually open late – until around 7 or 8pm.
Miu Tea – The Village Centre – near Woolworths.
Bubble tea shop that is a favourite with all the kids and students. They have extended/late trading hours most days.
YOZO FROYO – Musk Ave. Outside Woolworths.
Frozen yoghurt shop. Another location popular with local kids and students.
La Boite Espresso Bar – opposite Donana Hot Pot, there is a pedestrian crossing and a lift. Go up to level 4 and walk across the courtyard to the Roundhouse Theatre. You’ll find the cafe/bar in there. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Seoul Bites (Korean) Carraway Street.
My neighbours recommend the kimchi pancake and bulgogi fried rice as well as the garlic soy chicken.
Sushi (Japanese) – Carraway Street.
They have a sushi train as well as a la carte dining.
Siam Spice (Thai) – Carraway St.
Closest restaurant to the apartments. I recommend the Red Duck Curry.
Kelvin Lee (Hot bread and Vietnamese) – Musk Ave.
Caraway Pier (fish and chips) – Carraway St.
Donana Mini Hot Pot (Korean) – Musk Ave.
A fun restaurant with both hot pots built into the tables outside and a ‘train’ with stools inside. I recommend getting the plain ‘soup’ and add spices and flavours as you go. This is not a cheap restaurant.
South Seoul Korean Eats (Korean Burgers) – Carraway St.
Shanghai Cuisine – Musk Ave.
Located right between the Subway and Boba Chicken, they have a wide range but I love their dumplings.
Vietnam House – Carraway St.
Their service is usually very fast and friendly. This is my second favourite after Siam Spice. Their food is good and reasonably priced.
Burger Urge – Carraway St.
Momo Bento (Sushi) – Victoria Park Rd.
Literally opposite QUT and under the Iglu student accommodation.
Zambrero Kelvin Grove (Mexican) – Carraway St.
Vietnam Corner (Vietnamese) – Musk Ave.
This is a different restaurant to Vietnam House. Highly recommend.
Boba Chicken (Fried chicken) – Musk Ave.
This is a bit like Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Golden Lava Toast (sweet and savory sandwiches) – Musk Ave.
They also do bubble tea here.
Sichuan Wok (Chinese) – 2/31 Musk Ave
